Service scope

Provide room dimensions, occupancy, heat sources and intended operating hours. Assessment should address indoor/outdoor unit positions, drainage, electrical supply and service access. Confirm exact models, installation inclusions and maintenance needs in the quotation.

  • Room and location assessment
  • Installation scope and drainage
  • Cleaning and service requirements

Assessment before quotation

Share the building type, location, existing equipment and the problem or outcome required. Assessment helps define equipment, installation, testing and maintenance requirements before price and scheduling are agreed.

Equipment & system options

Indoor/outdoor AC units, controls, refrigerant pipework, insulation, drainage and an appropriate electrical connection, specified after room assessment.

Maintenance & support

Plan filter cleaning, drainage checks and competent servicing according to the chosen equipment. Report leaks, unusual noise or poor cooling before changing settings or replacing parts.

Planning questions

Can room size alone determine AC capacity?

No. Occupancy, glazing, heat sources, sun exposure and operating pattern also matter. Share these details and the proposed unit locations for assessment.

THE TECHNICAL BRIEF

Cooling capacity is a site decision.

BM air-conditioning enquiries cover assessed equipment selection, installation and maintenance. Match the indoor/outdoor pair and power supply before comparing price.

Cooling capacity is a site decision.
Option / applicationWhat to assess
Wall splitUseful for individual spaces where the assessed cooling load, airflow, pipe route and condensate drainage can be met.
Cassette / ducted optionsCeiling access, distribution, maintenance access and drainage become part of the design. A concealed unit is not simply a hidden wall split.
Inverter / fixed-speedCompare the exact models at stated conditions. Inverter control adjusts output; it does not justify a universal percentage saving or an undersized unit.

BTU/h and heat load

Cooling capacity is different from electrical input. Room area, occupancy, glazing, sun exposure, equipment heat and ventilation affect selection. Do not convert floor area into a guaranteed capacity without assessment.

Installation and servicing

Agree unit positions, service clearances, pipework, drainage, electrical isolation and manufacturer commissioning checks. Routine care includes filters, coils, drains and fault diagnosis; refrigerant work must follow equipment requirements and competent practice.

Can I replace only the outdoor unit?

Not without checking the manufacturer’s approved pairing, refrigerant, controls and electrical requirements. An apparently similar capacity does not prove compatibility.

Equipment references & manufacturer documentation

These references help compare systems. They do not establish BM stock, dealership, partnership or model availability. Confirm equipment, compatibility and supply terms in the quotation.
